On Saturday, April 2, our building Oxygen Park turned blue. In this way, together with Fundacja SYNAPSIS, we celebrated World Autism Awareness Day, which inaugurates Autism Awareness Month.
World Autism Awareness Day was established in 2008 by the United Nations General Assembly. This day was chosen to emphasize the need to help and improve the quality of life of children and adults with autism so that they can lead a full-fledged life. Since then, autism organizations around the world have collaborated to spread awareness about autism. One such initiative is “Light it up blue for Autism”.
On the occasion of the World Autism Awareness Day, the symbolic blue light has reached almost every point of the world, and the International Space Station, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Empire State Building, the monumental statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro or our Oxygen Park office building have been light in blue.
